The plot centers on two financially struggling sisters, and Savanna (Faris) , who learn that their wealthy, estranged, and terminally ill Aunt Hilda (Turner) is dying. Hoping to secure her inheritance to save their failing family restaurant, they travel to her mansion in New Orleans. However, they quickly discover they aren't the only ones with this idea; they must compete with their equally greedy and "pervy" cousins, Beatrice (Rosemarie DeWitt) and Richard (David Duchovny) , in a series of increasingly desperate and sordid attempts to win Hilda's favor.
