Press E on the torsos of defeated Haybots to get scrap metal.
In Scrap Mechanic, "pieces" refers to building parts or custom components. Here is how you can create them depending on your mode: Open your inventory (default key I ).
If you want to create a brand-new part that isn't in the base game: Launch the Scrap Mechanic Mod Tool . Go to File > New Mod > Blocks & Parts .
Select from over like blocks, wheels, and sensors.
