HOT4D is an open-source ocean simulation system based on the Jerry Tessendorf paper concerning ocean waves. Originally a tool for Houdini, it was ported to Cinema 4D by Manuel Magalhaes (Valkaari). Its primary function is to allow artists to create realistic deep-ocean surfaces with complex wave patterns.
