One breezy afternoon, the Great Annual Nesting Parade was held on the cliffs. It was a serious event where the elders judged the birds on their posture and plumage. Babe was nervous. Her feathers were a bit ruffled from the salt spray, and she couldn't keep her feet still.
In the sun-drenched coastal town of Blue Lagoon, there lived a young Blue-footed Booby named Babe. While the other birds were busy perfecting their high-dive fishing techniques, Babe was famous for something else entirely: her rhythm.
When it was her turn to march past the elders, the wind picked up, carrying a catchy tune from a distant beach radio. Without thinking, Babe started the Szip. She hopped, flared her wings, and punctuated every movement with a "Szip-szip!" sound from her beak.
